Lapis Necklace

I have had these lapis ovals for a few weeks, and had only made a little pair of earring so far.  I have used a combo of lapis, hematite and silver beads to construct this chunky piece - looking forward to wearing it!

Another bracelet

I got these lovely blue gemstone beads (dyed black lace marble) in my big parcel from fire mountain gems, and combined them with some antique silver beads and a filigree connector - very happy with the result.

Kumihimo Bracelet

This is my first kumihimo braid, a flat braid using 8 lengths of sari fabric.  I used ribbon ends to complete the braid, and added a couple of charms.

Lots of beady goodness

My parcel arrived!!!!  This box of goodness arrived from Fire Mountain Gems yesterday - talk about bead heaven.  I ordered lots of fabulous gemstones, and a few bags of mixed bits - it's like a lucky dip!

I think my favourites are the purple crazy lace agate ovals, and the labradorite nuggets - I cannot wait to make something with them.

Mothers Day

This is made with pink pearls, some crystal accents, and a swarovski pendant as the centrepiece.  Hope mum likes it!

Her Royal Highness Bracelet

Things have been a bit hectic for the last week, but I have finally had a chance to get to my table and make something.  This bracelet is my entry for the weekly challenge at Beading Forum - the theme is Coronation.

Lots of silver and grey toned Preciosa  Ornela pearls, on a simple chain, and finished with a crown charm.

I am waiting on a big order of goodies from fire mountain gems - fingers crossed it arrives before easter, so I can play on the long weekend.

I am hoping to make something for Mum for Mothers day this weekend, so will publish a pic as soon as it is finished.

Happy Birthday Courtney

I made this a while ago for the lovely Courtney  but had to wait until yesterday to give it to her, and to post a picture here.  I do love this - it worked out just how I wanted.  I have used vintage lace, a lovely cameo, brass chain, and some fire-polished czech glass with a copper AB finish

The owl bracelet was part of the present, and features a little resin cab from Beads Online.
