Simple earrings

A couple of pairs of simple earrings-

"Temple" earrings, with magnesite and brass beads

"Orbit" earrings with obsidian drops

Fever Pitch

A combo of mexican fire agate and carnelian, set in silver chain.

I created the central link with my wig-jig.  I have been saving these fire agates for a while, until I could find something special to do with them.

The scarlet letter

This piece was my entry for the YOJ challenge at beadingforum.com.au this week.  Tim Holtz fragment charms, decorated with lots of different fonts, and silver chain. I think it is simple but effective.

Crazy Lace agate

I got some beautiful crazy lace agate from firemountaingems a little while ago, and this is the first piece made from the stash.  Large and small agate, hematite, onyx, clear quartz and obsidian.  The matching earrings also contain some quartz.

Sorcerer's Apprentice

This is my entry for the YOJ challenge over on beadingforum.com.au   I loved this challenge, and was  inspired by the idea of elemental magic. I wanted to make a piece that could be gifted to a sorcerer's apprentice at the commencement of their training. The apprentice could add charms and talismans to the piece as they progress through their training.

I made my kumihimo braid to represent the elements of:

Earth: brass chain (in braid) and copper wire and findings
Air: silvery grey yarn
Fire: red / orange /gold yarn
Water: "fluffy" blue and silver yarn

The pendant is a "raku" ceramic bottle, and represents the fifth element, spirit.

Moonstruck necklace

This necklace features a cabachon with an image from a Josephine Wall calendar - I adore her work - it is so magical.  I teamed it with some amazing gemstone beads from Fire mountain gems.  Sadly, I can't remember what they are called!
